Action and Solidarity Party (PAS): The two-year reign and its achievements
The Chairman of the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS), Igor Grosu, gave a speech on the occasion of the two-year governance of PAS, where he shared the achievements of the party and acknowledged the failures.Leaders, deputies and representatives of various organizations held a conference in front of the Moldovan Parliament to talk about the work done. Igor Grosu emphasized that two years ago Moldovans defeated the thieves and ruiners of the country. Over the past two years, Moldova is on a new path – towards accession to the European Union. He admitted that in two years, it is impossible to correct the mistakes made in 30 years. However, PAS wants the EU to be Moldova’s home by 2030, so that nothing stands in the way of its development. Grosu also stressed that they are in the most responsible period in the history of the country. In 2023, they must inevitably move forward and start negotiations. He noted that they would like to move faster, but it is difficult to clean up the mud created overnight. He also accused the Kremlin and its enablers from Chisinau of trying to divide and argue with them, but stressed that they are becoming even more united, strong and courageous.
Igor Grosu also shared the latest achievements of the government. He reported that Ilan Shor was finally convicted and must return 5 billion lei to the state. They were able to achieve punishment for fugitive criminals thanks to their partners. They also outlawed the Shor party and imposed stiffer penalties for electoral corruption. In addition, they gave the airport back to the people.
Prime Minister Dorin Recean also presented a report on government projects. He stressed that crises have the biggest impact on the country. Last winter, they allocated 4 billion lei to pay the bills, 900 thousand beneficiaries benefited. They doubled the minimum pension, raised salaries for state employees and set a triple minimum wage. They also indexed pensions by 15%. Dorin Recean noted that the government bases its activity on the four basic principles announced by Maia Sandu: peace in the country, economic development, modernization of infrastructure and a judicial system that ensures justice.
Recall that in the July 11, 2021 parliamentary elections PAS won the majority of seats in Parliament. They currently have 63 deputies represented. Most of the cabinet members are also representatives and open supporters of PAS.
