At the moment, we are actively discussing with Gazprom various options for gas supplies if transit through Ukraine stops. This was stated by Vadim Ceban in the program “On Facts”, answering a question about possible changes in Russian gas supplies in 2025. Together with Tiraspoltransgaz and colleagues from the Transnistrian region, we are actively discussing this issue with the support of the Energy Ministry. Ceban emphasized the importance of energy security for Transnistria, given its strategic importance for Moldova. “Moldovagaz” considers two main scenarios of gas supplies: through Ukraine and through the southern corridor using the Trans-Balkan gas pipeline and Turkish Stream, taking into account technical limitations. The company also formally provides the Transnistrian region with gas, emphasizing its responsibility for the country’s energy security, which includes providing additional volumes of gas even compared to the terms of the contract during the summer period.
