The Constitutional Court rejected the petition of Zinaida Greceanii, Vlad Batrinci and Vladimir Voronin, who demanded that the law adopted in March 2023, which officially recognized Romanian as the state language in the Republic of Moldova, be declared unconstitutional. The court confirmed that the wording of Article 13 Part 1 of the Constitution complies with constitutional principles. According to Domnica Manole at the briefing, the official language of Moldova remains Romanian, using the Latin script. Other requests from BKS deputies were also rejected.
