The PSRM party expresses support for the initiative to develop an agreed plan for the peaceful reintegration of Moldova, including all political forces. They also call for the restoration of dialog to solve the Transnistrian problem, believing that there are no other real alternatives.
The party leadership expressed this opinion at a meeting with the head of the OSCE mission in Moldova, Kelly Keiderling. Igor Dodon, the leader of the Socialists, emphasized the importance of discussing issues related to the Transnistrian settlement, democracy and legality.
Dodon also said that a peaceful political settlement of the conflict in Transnistria should be based on Moldova’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and this should be a priority for all political forces.
Socialists criticize attempts to divide Moldova’s future and statements about the possibility of European integration without taking Transnistria into account, considering such steps unacceptable.
