Farmers express dissatisfaction in front of the government: Preparing a new protest in the center of Chisinau
The farmers’ association “Forța Fermierilor” held a new protest in front of the government building on Monday. The main reason is the failure of the authorities to fulfill the farmers’ demands by this date. The rally started at 10 a.m., before the start of the cabinet meeting. Farmers expressed their dissatisfaction with the fact that since July 27, no funds and diesel fuel have been allocated, as well as regulations have not been approved. Despite the authorities’ intentions to correct the situation, the farmers decided to continue the protests. They emphasized that if their demands are not taken into account, they will return with their machinery to the Great National Assembly Square in the center of Chisinau.
The farmers expressed concern about the economic situation, noting that some of them are on the verge of bankruptcy due to non-payments and difficulties. They also regretted that support measures were approved after the protests and insisted on a moratorium on fines and loan fees.
