On Monday, August 14, new protests of agricultural producers will be held in front of the government building from 10:00 am, as Noi.md reports. Farmers intend to express their demands by picketing. The main goal of the action is a dialog with Prime Minister Dorin Recean. They claim that the promises made to them back in late June have not been fulfilled so far.
The farmers announced that the action is preventive and aims to draw attention to their problems. Despite the fact that the agricultural season is at its peak, they believe that a dialog with the competent authorities is necessary. The picket will take place at the entrance to the government building from the side of Pushkin Street.
If the Prime Minister does not go to the meeting with the farmers, the latter are ready to attract even more participants and appeal to the deputies to find out why the promises are not fulfilled. They also emphasize that the protest action is economic in nature and asked the political forces not to try to use it for political purposes. The farmers noted that they welcome the participation of the media and are ready to openly discuss their demands and problems.
