A carer from Moldova is accused of stealing from an 81-year-old Italian woman shortly after hiring her through an agency
The family of an elderly woman has sought police help after a carer from Moldova they recently hired stole from their mother. According to information, the carer was hired just a week ago through an agency but failed to perform her duties properly. After being reprimanded by the agency, she left without providing the necessary care to the old woman.
However, before leaving, the carer stole a necklace with a gold pendant worth about 500 euros and 100 euros in cash from the elderly Italian woman. Local authorities promptly found and detained her and recovered the stolen property. The case is still under investigation.
