Energy Minister Viktor Parlikov assures all consumers that in December heating bills will not be as high as in November. This is because at the beginning of the heating season, the system is still warming up and energy costs are higher. Many people have received bills for November, which seem excessive, but the minister advises not to rely on them for future calculations.
According to Parlicov, in November, many people received heating bills higher than usual, for example, by 800 lei for a fortnight, but in December the sums will be more reasonable, around 2000 lei. He emphasises that this calculation methodology is wrong and explains that at the beginning of the season, the heating system requires more energy to maintain the temperature.
It is important to note that the vast majority of consumers were connected to heating only in the second half of November due to the late start of the heating season due to high temperatures this year.
